The art classes can take place in one of the character rich rooms in the hall or in the gardens and grounds which allows the beautiful location to provide the inspiration for great works.

The classes are taught by local artist David Walker, who offers different classes for all levels of accomplishment, from the complete beginner to the more competent artist who want to enhance their skills.

David has developed his style of work to include a wide range of subject matter in a variety of mediums that include watercolour, oil, gouache, pencil and pen and ink. Teaching began whilst he lived in the county in 2000 and since he has been running both his classes and workshops and teaching privately at local venues and from a studio at his home.

After relocation to Shropshire in 2005 brought David closer to his roots of Chester and encouraged more wildlife and landscape aspects into his protfolio.

Bryn Tanat Hall and its grounds provide a perfect venue for these classes offering both a wealth of potential subject matter and the tranquility necessary for the creative process.
