The grounds at Bryn Tanat provide a perfect launch site for hot air balloons to give you tours from the air of the surrounding countryside of Shropshire and Powys. We have teamed up with a fantastic balloon tour company, Wickers World, to give you the chance to take in this scenic area in a unique and memorable way.

Established in 1987 by experienced commercial balloonists Jon Rudoni and Andy Rawson, Wickers World now has the ability to fly 4000 thousand passengers each year and owns a fleet of ten balloons. As a family business they are passionate about ballooning, and offer our customers an unrivalled service. Long before they ever considered a commercial enterprise, they were ballooning for pleasure at their own expense!

All of the aircrew hold unrestricted commercial pilot's licences, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, and each pilot has a minimum of 1000 hours flying balloons. An annual flight examination and medical for every pilot ensures continuing high regard for passenger safety. You can trust to their experience!

Their pleasure flight balloons are classified as Public Transport Category aircraft, which means that they are granted a certificate when manufactured by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). That certificate is revalidated after every 100 hours of flight (or 12 months - whichever comes first), when the balloon is carefully inspected by CAA approved technicians.
