Our local ghillie, John Davies, is available to coach you in the art of fly fishing in the grounds of Bryn Tanat Hall on the River Tanat.

Whether it be the first time you have picked up a rod or you are a professional flyfisherman John will be able to teach at any level.

Beginners courses can be taught at nearby fishery ponds or, for the more experience angler, the banks of the Tanat running through Bryn Tanat's grounds provide a moderate challenge.

John can provide any equipment, rods, reels & lines. Also should you want to discuss fishing in different weathers and seasons or just pinch one of his many recipes that he has come up with for trout it is all included in the session.

John holds the 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2005 Troutmaster Angler of the Year Award, currently holding the record for the most amount of times the same person has won this award.
