Kowloon Park

Inspired by Kowloon peninsula where Susan’s mother Flora spent her early childhood. The bedrooms are themed on Kowloon Park, the elegance of the flamingo and wisteria, kingfisher and lotus leaves and the ancient history of the pagoda.  Here you will experience peace and tranquillity which are two key attributes of Kowloon Park.  Elevated overlooking 5 acres of parkland at Bryn Tanat Hall near enough if you are with a party in the Hall and secluded to enjoy complete privacy.

Breathe in the fresh air

Living Spaces

Inside Kowloon Park, the tranquillity washes over you. Stare out of the window and take in the river view. There’s plenty of cosy wellbeing here, too. Walk in the pine trees, then come home to the blazing wood burner and enjoy a movie night with Netflix or Freeview on the 50” smart TV.

This is open-plan living at its finest.  From the leather living-room chairs to the kitchen island breakfast bar, to the huge American fridge, to the oval dining table, and from there to the outside terrace and the great outdoors.

Fine dining or al fresco?

Cooking and dining

The oval dining table seats 8 with stunning views through the picture window, but you might prefer to eat al fresco and hire our Weber BBQ for an evening on the sun terrace during the summer months. Wherever you eat, it’ll be all the better for the double oven, four-ring induction hob and American fridge/freezer.

Stock up on local honey and jam and all manner of seasonal fare from Llynclys Hall Farm Shop. You may have a chef within your group or you may wish to hire the services of our Chef Beth Patrick. Using seasonal ingredients, Beth can make you a relaxed evening supper for you to finish and serve whilst you enjoy the comforts of the lodge.

Just a short car journey to the village and you will find  The Station Grill restaurant, The Sun Hotel, fish and chip shop and Indian take away. If it’s fine dining you’re after, AA-rated Sebastian’s in Oswestry is well worth a visit.

Sleep .......

Aromatherapy Associates goodies, fluffy bathrobes, 400-count Egyptian cotton bed linen, hypoallergenic hollow fibre duvets and pillows. While pocket sprung comfort mattresses guarantee a deep and restorative nights’ sleep. Hot tub, gardens and grounds

Relax in the Mid wales borderlands

Take a walk down to the River Tanat with a picnic, you may even spot the Kingfisher and then enjoy the piping hot tub as the sun dips over the Meifod Valley.

Life is short but, when it rumbles past at the pace of the Tanat River, it seems longer. Go ahead and fly-fish the time away. Walk the five acres of parkland among 2500 semi-mature and specimen trees. Play a little tennis, break out the boules, wander the woodlands, sear your steaks on the terrace, set up a test match on the lawn.

Do as much as you want, but it’s the simple pleasures you’ll remember most. The clean air, the rushing river and the setting sun. This is time’s very own garden.

Enjoy the outdoors

Did somebody say good walks? Welsh border country is lovely all by itself, but just over an hour away sits the spectacular Snowdonia National Park and Offa’s Dyke. Or explore rolling farmland, open moorland, forests, lakes and reservoirs along sections of Glyndŵr’s Way.

For the mountain bikers you can visit Llandegla Forest Trail Centre and Coed-y-Brenin Trail Centre, and horse-riding at Penycoed Riding Stables in Pant.
